This your forum for discussion. Although I will toss in questions, I will expect you to be the main contributors to the blog. You are expected to post and comment at least twice (1x each) every time we are in the lab as a class. Naturally, you are required to keep comments germane to the novel and to treat your classmates' opinions with respect. Have fun.

She gets her strength from her family. She lives to keep her family heatlthy and happy. It's a good way to be.
Well... I think that she might get her strength from within herself. She has to deal with so much and U think that she might just be finding her strength within herself.
I agree with Camen. I think Ma gets her strength from her family. She constantly says "Keep the family together," which denotes her strong bond with them. She is strongest when she is protecting her family (laying down with the dead grandma so the family can get to CA, not letting Tom stay behind by threatening her husband with a pipe, ect).
i also think she gets it from her family, but do you think that all the losses will wear her down? i mean, the grandparents are dead, connie and rose of sharon plan on not staying with the family, and noah...just a thought.
i think that Mrs. Joad gets her strength from her desirer to keep her family alive. she knows that if she dies the family will die off with out her
I believe she gets her strength from the land because as the story progresses she begins to lose the fight in her as she gets further and further from the land.
I think that Ma gets her strength from her family and within her self. She gets strength from the family from being around them and them all loving and respecting her. She gets strength from within her self because she loves her family and wants to take care of them.
