I never really thought of the cat as symbolism. I thought of it more as a sign that even tho people had cleared out the little town was still full of things that had been there since the beginning. Just like the house was still there and Muley as well. Or perhaps it meant that the land was the cats home and he knew it was only right to stick with the land no matter who left or who came cus that was all he knew, just like Muley.
Perhaps the cat represented Muley.Eating the scraps and sticking around. It's the only thing I can tie the cat with. Idk, what do u guys think?
Yes. Absolutely! Everything in literature has some sort of symbolism or Jesus figure or metaphoric stuff.
The turtle seems pretty important, so i think it is safe to assume that the cat will also have a strong symbolic structure to it.
Yes, I do think the cat is symbolizing something. Especially since everything else in the book is symbolizing something.
I think that the cat is symbolism. Everything is pretty much representing something. Even when we read the story of someone's life it is symbolizing something that could be applied to us in some way or another.
No matter what it is, anything can be seen as symbolism. It's all in the way you look at things.
