This your forum for discussion. Although I will toss in questions, I will expect you to be the main contributors to the blog. You are expected to post and comment at least twice (1x each) every time we are in the lab as a class. Naturally, you are required to keep comments germane to the novel and to treat your classmates' opinions with respect. Have fun.

i don't know if the car will breakdown or not, but something will definitely happen to it to where they can't use it. An easy ride all the way to California would seem to kinda throw away the story.
yea, i'm pretty sure there will be lots of problems on their journey to California...and not just with the car.
I agree. The car seems to be both symbolic and literal in that it represents an obstacle in their journey. Ry jo, it would indeed be far to easy for Steinbeck to just let them have a journey without car problems at the least.
It seems like the car won't make it, but I agree with jeUSAves, there will be a lot of other problems
Personally I think that they're going to get to California, but they're going to have difficulties along the way, one of which will probably be the car falling apart on them. The turtle does eventually make it over the hill you know.
The car is going to make it to California. I mean its a Hudson Super Six. A Hudson I just saw one of those sell on TV for like $500,000. And if it doesn't well hey maybe they could get a Zephyr those are even better.
