In the book, around...I believe Chapter 9 our characters find out that Tom might not be able to go with them because Al overheard people talking about Tom and how his parole wouldn't allow him to leave the state.
How many think that Tom will be able to go with the family with California? How many thing the latter and if so, what did you think Tom will do if he stays?

I think Tom will get to go. Illegally, mind you, but I think he'll go.
I agree with Puckett..I think he will go to California....run from the law, and try to be with his family...
Somehow i don't think there would be much of a story if Tom didn't go to California.
I think Tom will go, too. Otherwise, how will he get to see his family?
I think that no matter what Tom will end up going to California, even if he has to do it illegally. He will want to stay with his family.
It's strange because Tom talks like he's going to California, even though his parole will not allow him to go. He'll probably just ignore the law and go...
he avoids the subject whenever it is brought up, so i have a feeling he will go, and the family will have to end up running from the law. of course all of this makes for a good story...
I think Tom will go to California. I mean what choice does he have. He has to go with his family and help them and there is nothing for him in Oklahoma.
